Well the summer is over and autumn is about to begin. The executive are usually busy this time of year arranging the trade show in the fall, but since we had it the pressure is off. Speaking of the trade show, it was a marvelous time. New people, old friends, great venue. June seems to be the perfect time to have the trade show. The spring is the least busy time in operations. One suggestion was to make it ten days to two weeks earlier as there is a conflict with the oil and gas expo, any suggestions or thoughts?

The building operator courses with BOMA have been very successful this year. BOMA has put on two introductory courses as well one fifth class certificate course. This September, there will be another introductory course followed by a BOMA fifth class course in early 2009. The fifth class BOMA course had a very high percentage pass rate with those that went on to write the ABSA test. If you as Operators or Associates, know of someone who is looking in a career put them on to the the BOA Website where they can link to BOMA for course information.
I look out into the skyline and see the buildings going up and I wondered where we were going to find the staff to fill them. I was concerned on how thin staffing of the buildings is now, what in the future? Today, I am a little less concerned, today there is still no shortage of work for operators, we just need a few more new operators in the field.
