I hope this message finds you and yours well and in good health.
Well, polish up your apples the 5th Class course for Building Operators is back. Tuesday September the 7th is the first day of class and there are a few changes but it is all good. There have been some suggestions for change and they have been implemented. The course was 120 hours this has been increased to 150 to allow for more time spent on topics. The material has changed slightly but still meets the syllabus set by SOPEEK. It is approved by ABSA as an acceptable course that once taught and passed by the students that the students can go on to write the government exam.
The Operator magazine is now managed internally again. Our new editor is Victoria (Vicki) Gibbs. We are excited to once again have management of our best foot forward internally. I would like to say thanks to Copy Zone and Mary Grace who has done a remarkable job in both the editing and continuing to print our magazine. Vicki will be sending out requests for stuff for our readers. If you have information or suggestions please feel free to input.
The trade show this year was marvellous. The best ever. If you attended thanks hope you won one of the many door prizes. If you missed it, bad to be you, it will be here again in two years. Great Guest Speakers, Bill Partridge and Mike Poehlmann and everyone raved of the tables, the venue, the food and the show. My Special thanks to Kevin who assembled the crew and kept them in line. Keiko and Bob and Tracy who gave out the door prizes. Great Job All.Ciao for now,
