About 250,000 half gallon hot water dispensers are being recalled by In-Sink-Erator. The holding tank can leak and cause electrical problems and heat build up. There has been one fire due to the problem.

Dispensers made between 1972 and 1996 are affected. The company does not have information on how many were sold in Canada.

Consumers should look for serial numbers 999-10 or numbers that fall between 1000 and 3084000. This is a recall to repair the units.
