In case of emergency, dial 'ICE'
City of Calgary EMS has launched a program called “ICE” (In Case of Emergency). Any person who carries a cell phone is being asked to program an emergency number listed as ”. ICE”. The objective is to allow for emergency personnel to access this number from your cell and notify the contact of any emergency, should you be unable to do so on your own. It should be noted that the area code also be entered with the contact number. The “.” Dot/period in front of ICE will allow this contact number to come up first in the directory. Also, you may include other contact numbers by using (.ICE1, .ICE2, etc.) The life you save maybe your own, in this case, is very true!
