Dear Participants:
Today the Power Pool will issue the Final Pool
Statements for the month of January. The settlement
results reflect all information that was received by the
Power Pool from the Transmission Administrator and
Load Settlement Agents (LSAs).
The January final statements include Prior Period
Energy Payment /Energy Charge items which result
from the following:
The Power Pool would like to remind all participants
that the cash settlement for the month of January will
occur on Friday, March 1st, 2002 . Please ensure
that any amount owed to the Power Pool is transferred
on or before March 1st via electronic transfer.
Two reports have been added to the ETS system to
provide additional support for the Power Pool
Statement.The “Trading Charge (Cons)and (Prod)”
reports provide the details on the trading charge
calculation on an hourly and asset basis.This report will
agree to the current month ’s trading charge amount on
the Pool Statement,though minor rounding differences
will exist.The “Contract Detail ”report itemizes all of the
direct sales/forward contracts registered with the Power
Pool,by hour and asset.Both of these reports can be
accessed using a digital certificate under Reports/
Historical and then under the Settlement or Trading
headings.
The Power Pool has also updated the schedule of 2002
settlement dates on the web site.This information can be
found under Participants/Settlement/Settlement Dates.

In accordance with the communication from the
Department of Energy to industry stakeholders on
August 10, 2001, the June final settlement may be
adjusted in the future for information gathered
subsequent to the release of these statements.
